Tamara Jean “Tammy” (Ledvina) Knapp, 67, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away September 27, 2025.

Tammy was born June 16, 1958, Eugene and Karen (Hala) Ledvina in Marengo, IA. Tammy graduated from Belle Plaine High School, class of 1976 and furthered her education at the University of Iowa. She worked for Amana Refrigeration for 43 years, retiring in 2020.

Tammy enjoyed getting together with family and friends, playing cards, traveling and going on cruises. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She was upbeat, happy and loved to make people smile. She had gifts for everyone, from general acquiesces to close family, she loved to give.

Tammy is survived by her father; daughter, Rachel Daily-Hearn of Vinton; grandchildren, Izaak and Madison Daily; great-grandchildren, Asher and Celeste Daily; siblings, Mark (Holly) Ledvina and Janell Thomas.

She is preceded in death by her mother; daughter, Ana Hopwood; and sister-in-law, Carla Thomas.

Celebration of life is 1-3 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the Belle Plaine Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to be used in Tammy’s honor. Tammy was a vibrant spirit who loved purple; if you have purple, let’s wear it.
