Mary A. Schuk
(October 28, 1853 – January 16, 1938)

Mary A. Culler was born Oct. 28, 1853 in Delphi, Indiana. She passed away Jan. 16, 1938 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Bade near Rolfe. She was the oldest of nine children of Mary and John Culler, all of which preceded her in death. In Sept. 1872 she was married to Francis E. Schuk in Forest City, Arkansas. This union was blessed with six children. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Fred Bade of near Rolfe and Mrs. Nat Landolt of Gilmore City and 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She came to this vicinity 19 years ago and has made her home with her daughter in late years. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Jan. 18, 1938 at St. John’s church, Rev. Hugh O’Brien was the officiating priest. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery.
