Harry Henry Crovisier was born March 5, 1917, the son of Charles and Mary Kastler Crovisier in Woolstock Township, Wright County. He received his education at rural Woolstock country school and attended Eagle Grove High School.

He was united in marriage to Verla McCutcheon, of Goldfield, on December 21, 1938, at Verla’s home in Goldfield. The couple lived near Eagle Grove for the first four years of their marriage before moving to their present farm near Thor in 1942.

Harry was an avid horse fancier having raised ponies for sale and to be used in parades. He retired in 1981. Harry had been in ill health for quite sometime.

Harry Crovisier died at his home of an apparent heart attack at the age of 71 years, two months, and six days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Clarence.

He is survived by his wife, Verla, two daughters, Mrs. James (Barbara) Mallinger of Fort Dodge, and Mrs. Larry (Betty) Davis of rural Eagle Grove; three brothers, Milford, Humboldt; John, Eagle Grove; and Fred, Eagle Grove; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Williams, Woolstock; Mrs. Harvey (Margaret) Horton, Osakis, Minn.; and Mrs. Russell (Ethel) Horton of Fort Dodge; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held May 14, 1988 at 2 p.m. at the Thor Lutheran Church, in Thor. The Rev. John Sersland officiated and burial was held in East Ullensvang Cemetery, Thor. The Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Horton, Osakis, Minn., were weekend guests in the Robert Williams home. They came to attend the funeral of Harry H. Crovisier held at the Thor Lutheran Church Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Horton and Mrs. Williams are sisters of Harry Crovisier. Harry Crovisier, age 71, died Wednesday afternoon at his home following a heart attack.
