Obituary.
Anna Augusta Mohr was born on the 16th of August 1879, as the daughter of Mr. August Schacht and his wife Julia, in Hazel Green, Delaware County, Ia. In the year 1879 her parents removed to Howard County where she lived ever since.
On August 6th, 1903, she was wedded to Mr. Amil Mohr of Howard Center Twp. With love and devotion she assumed the duties of a mother to his two children, Georgena and Verne. Their union was blessed by two children, Carl and Herbert.
In the years that Mrs. Mohr has been with us, she has won the love and affection of everyone that became acquainted with her. As wife, as mother, as daughter, as friend she showed herself active in deeds of love.
Mrs. Mohr was an earnest and devout Christian and always took an active interest in church matters. She was affiliated with the Ev. Lutheran congregation and Ladies Aid of Davis Corners.
It is with true regret and heartfelt sorrow that we heard of her death, which occurred last Saturday morning. She attained the age of 41 years and two months. Her untimely departure is mourned by her husband, children and stepchildren who have been mentioned, her brothers, Messrs. Henry, Frank and Charles Schacht, her sisters Mrs. Mary Mohr and Mrs. Anna Hall, her mother and two aunts, Mrs. Roesler and Mrs. Buegel.
The funeral service was held at Lime Springs on Monday afternoon, Rev. G. Bunge of Lime Springs officiating. Interment took place at Pleasant Hill cemetery.
