The body of Lawrence Long, at one time a resident of Howard County, was brought here Thursday night and taken to the home of his son, Ray Long, at Howard Center. The remains were brought here from Rochester, Minn., where Mr. Long went from his South Dakota home, to take treatment at the hospital there. The funeral was held Saturday morning from the church of the Assumption, with burial in St. Joseph’s cemetery. Mr. Long has a son, Ray, and a sister, Miss Mary Long, living in this immediate vicinity.

Transcriber’s Note: Calvary Cemetery shows the name spelled Laurence Long. He was born in 1857.
