OBITUARY

Wm. Noble Potts, son of Rev. and Mrs. J. H. Potts, was born at St. Francisville, Ill., July 14th, 1884. He was united in marriage with Mrs. Marie Freed at Westside, Ia., on Sept. 19, 1918, and died at St. Paul, Minn., at 1:30 p. m., October 22, 1918. For about six years Mr. Potts was owner and publisher of the Forest City Summit at Forest City, Iowa. Upon leaving Forest City he became the owner of a moving picture theatre at Jefferson, and later disposed of that business to accept a position with the Denison Bulletin at Denison After their marriage last month, Mr. and Mrs. Potts moved to St. Paul, where a few weeks after their arrival, the deceased contracted Spanish influenza, which afterwards developed into pneumonia and resulted in his death at the city hospital. The body was brought to Westside and interred in the Westside cemetery, Rev. J. P. Lester of Carroll, officiating. Besides his bride of a few weeks, he leaves to mourn his loss, his aged parents, Rev. and Mrs. J. H. Potts of St. Francisville, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. John Bronner and Miss Pearl Potts of Lime Springs, Ia., and five brothers, Jacob D. Potts of St. Paul, Minn., Harlan T. Potts, Carl H. Potts, Lawrence H. Potts, Kelsa L. Potts, the last three being in the service. On a count of their extreme age the parents were unable to attend the funeral. The remains were accompanied from St. Paul by the wife and brother of the deceased—Westside Journal.
