Webster E. Nash
Another sudden blow to Lime Springs friends came Friday when the news came of the sudden death of Webster E. Nash which occurred at Filmore, N. D., of influenza and pneumonia.
Webster E. Nash was born at Lime Springs, Iowa, May 22, 1891, and died at Filmore, N. D., Monday, Oct. 23, 1918.
It was in Lime Springs that he lived during his childhood and young manhood. After his school days he held a position in the depot here and later made himself proficient as a telegraph operator and station agent and at the time of his death was holding that position and was in line for a promotion. Only a week before he was taken sick his superintendent had visited his depot and complimented him very highly on his work there.
On the 10th day of May, 1917, he was united in marriage with Bertha E. Morris of Eden Prairie, Minn., who was also formerly of Lime Springs. Their short months together were very happy ones. At the time of his marriage he held the station at Plummer as telegraph operator and eight months ago was given the station at Filmore.
The remains were accompanied to Lime Springs by his grief stricken wife, his parents Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Mash of Sandstone, Minn., A. L. Nash of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Younger and little son of Wauseca, Minn., Miss Laura Morris of Eden Prairie Minn., and Lloyd Morris also of Eden Prairie. After a short service at Pleasant Hill cemetery the body was laid to rest.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone shows his date of birth as May 21, 1892 and date of death as Oct. 21, 1918 which does not agree with the above.
