The sad news reached here Sunday that Mrs. Wenzel Cisar, Sr., passed away Sunday, Oct. 13th, 1918 at the hospital in Rochester, Minn., where she underwent an operation for gallstones. She was brought here Monday and funeral services were held at the Holy Trinity church Wednesday conducted by Rev. Rudolph Lakomy, The remains were buried in Holy Trinity cemetery. The deceased was 53 years old and leaves to mourn her loss, husband and five children as follows: Mrs. John J. Mikesh, Mrs. Frank J. Zahajsky, James and Albert all of this place and Adolph the youngest of Cedar Rapids, also a host of relatives and friends. Heartfelt sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones in their hour of sorrow..

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name as Alzbeta Cisarova. She was born Dec. 16, 1863 and died Oct. 12, 1918 which does not agree with the above.
