Gordon Alvin Owen was born June 15, 1894, near Protivin. He departed this life Sept. 4, 1913, aged 19 years, 2 months and 19 days.
Gordon grew to manhood in this community. Always kind and thoughtful he leaves many friends among the older people as well as those of his own age. He attended the public school and was a member of the Senior class. He was a regular attendant at church and a member of Mrs. Soper’s Sunday school class.
The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community in this great sorrow.
The funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. B. W. Soper from the residence Saturday. Burial was at Oak Lawn.
