Mrs. Salome Michel passed away Monday evening at her home in Cresco at the age of 83 years. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at the German Lutheran church with interment in the Granger cemetery. We will publish an obituary in our next issue.

Salome Kramer was born January 14, 1830, in Enguheim, Alsace, Kiser Ruch, France, and died at her home in Cresco, Iowa, on October 21, 1912, at 9 o'clock p. m., aged 82 years, 9 months and 7 days.
She emigrated to America on the 25th day of May, 1855, and was united in marriage to Michael Michel at Decorah, Iowa, October 17, 1855. They moved to Howard County in 1864 and lived on a farm until 1895 when they moved to Cresco, Iowa, where her husband preceded her in death on April 12, 1902. She leaves to mourn her loss, seven sons and one daughter: Mrs. Wm. J. Berringer, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Michael H., William, John, Charles, Theodore, George, all living in this vicinity, and Andrew E., of Jamestown, North Dakota. Her eldest son, Jacob, died in Montana, May 28, 1882.
Funeral services were held Thursday last in Immanuel’s Lutheran church, with interment by the side of her husband in the cemetery at Granger, Minnesota.
