Wilhelmine Auguste Amalie Halweg was born at Manistee, Mich.. Jan. 25, 1876. Shortly after her birth she moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Halweg to Howard county. la., where she has resided ever since. At the age of 14 she was confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran faith at Granger, Minn., by the Rev. W. Nolting. She remained steadfast in that faith to the end. On Sept. 28, 1897, she was united in marriage to William T. Bigalk. Three children blessed that union, who with her husband remain to mourn her departure. They are LaVerne, Arthur and Alvin. Besides these, there are her father and mother, thrree{sic} sisters, Mrs. Glen Holcomb, Cresco; Mrs. E W. Schilling, Webster City, Ia., and Miss Ottilie Halweg, Cresco, and four brothers, Arthur, Wykoff, Minn., Otto and Ernst, of Cresco, and Robert, of Tulsa, Okla.
About a year ago she had an operation and rallied from this, but her health was impaired and she never regained her usual health. She failed steadily until on the afternoon of the 23rd of October, she went to her just reward. All that loving hands could do was done to alleviate her pains and cheer her lonely hours. She always prayed that the Lord might soon call her to Him. A loving wife and mother, and a true daughter and sister has departed from us, but not to be forgotten. Her true Christian life is an example of love and kindness to all.

CARD OF THANKS.
We wish to thank our friends and neighbors for all the loving kindness, and for the beautiful floral offerings during the time of her sickness and the death of our wife and mother, daughter and sister, Amalie.
