MARRIED
On Tuesday morning, at 9 o’clock, at the Church of the Assumption, Miss Charlotte M. Barnes was united in marriage to John B. McDermott, son of Mr. and Mrs. John McDermott, Rev. T. J. Murtagh celebrating nuptial high mass and performing the marriage ceremony. They were attended by Gerald Lyons and Miss Julia McDermott, sister of the groom. The bride was attired in brown, the bridesmaid in blue silk, while the groom and his best man wore the conventional black.
At 11 o’clock, at the home of the brides parent’s, Mr. and Mrs. D. Barnes, a three course wedding break¬fast was served to a company consisting of the immediate relatives, residing in this vicinity, including Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Halweg, cousins of the bride, from Minneapolis. The dining room and table were hansomely decorated with carnations and smilax.
The young couple will in a few weeks commence housekeeping in the Capt. Hooper residence now occupied by C. S. Alexander.
Both the contracting parties are well and favorably known to a wide circle of friends in this vicinity, the bride having for several years been engaged in the millinery business, and the groom is at present employed in the Lomas Pharmacy.
