Marriage Licenses.
Clerk Blandin issued marriage licenses during the past week as follows:

J. Emmett Carroll, Cresco.
Mary Bertha Ahern, Cresco.

Ahern—Carroll Nuptials.
Last Tuesday morning, the 11th, at the Church of the Assumption, Cresco, was solemnized the marriage of J. Emmett Carroll, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Carroll of New Oregon township and Miss Mary Bertha Ahern, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Ahern of Orleans township. The marriage ceremony, performed by Father Howard, was followed by nuptial mass celebrated by Father Murtagh.
The bride was attired in cream colored eoileen, with hat to match, and the bridesmaid, Miss Eva Ahern was gowned in cream colored batiste, with Persian hat. The groom, and his best man, Dan Kennedy, wore the conventional black.
Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents and the happy couple departed in the afternoon on a wedding trip to St Paul and Minneapols,{sp} being conveyed by auto to Bonair to escape the attentions of their young friends, who however went up on the train and caught the young couple at Bonair.
The young couple will make their home on the farm owned by the groom’s father who will move soon to Cresco to reside.
The bride is one of an estimable family and has been reared to womanhood in this vicinity where she has a host of friends. The groom is one of the county’s best young men, industrious and of good character, and who for the past few years has been one of the county’s most successful teachers. Their many friends wish them them{sic} a realization of all anticipated happiness and success in their married life.

Tuesday morning at eight o’clock at the church of the Assumption occurred the marriage of Mary Ahern to J. Emmett Carroll. The young couple are both well known in this community, having grown to manhood and woman¬hood here, and their many friends wish them a long and happy married life.
