MARRIED.
Last Wednesday evening the nuptials of Ernest Caswell, of Chelan, and Margaret Altman, of Monitor, were solemnized at Wenatchee by Rev. Vandewalla of Snohomish. The affair came as a surprise to the friends of Mr. Caswell as they never suspected him of harboring such motives in his heart when he went down to Wenatchee last week. When the facts became known upon his return the next day he was the recipient of hearty and profuse congratulations.
Mr. Caswell is the son of W. N. Caswell, an old settler in the valley, and is well known as a young man of integrity and ability. He is associated with his father in the Chelan feed store and will continue to devote his efforts to that line of work. His bride is a woman of winsome ways who is not altogether unknown here, being the adopted daughter of George Gossman who some years ago lived upon the Antoine. The couple have established their home in one of the Baker cottages. A large circle of friends tender them best wishes as they commence their journey on the sea of matrimony.—The Chelan) (Washington) Leader, Thursday, July 21, 1910.
The Gossman family will be remembered as Cresco residents for some time until their removal west.
