A wedding of interest to the many Cresco friends of the bride was solemnized in Mason City, Tuesday morning at 11:00 o’clock, when Miss J. Edna Blackburn was joined in wedlock to Lloyd W. Bittner at the home of the officiating minister, Rev. Bertram Osgood, of the Baptist church. The young couple were attended by Miss Mable Boyd and David Gast.
After the ceremony the bridal party with the friends who witnessed the ceremony, repaired to the Park Inn where the wedding luncheon was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Bittner left for a short trip to the Twin Cities, and Madison, S. D., and upon their return will remain for a time in Mason City before taking up their permanent residence in Nora Springs.
The Plain Dealer joins with the numerous Cresco friends of the bride for every good wish for the future happiness and prosperity of this estimable young couple.
