SCARLET FEVER EPIDEMIC IN TIPPECANOE TWP.

Clay Grove School Closed To Prevent Spread of Disease.

An epidemic of scarlet fever has broken out in the Clay Grove school district in Tippecanoe township. Mrs. Vallie Campbell is the teacher of the school and her small son Donald was striken with the disease a few days ago. Another case is reported in that vicinity and the directors of the school deemed it best to close the school for some little time.

A number of cases are reported near Salem and vicinity, but it is hoped the spread of the disease may be curbed by the use of the proper precautions.
