Vincent Braga, 49, former Pharmacist mate in the Navy, passed away Sunday evening in the garage at his home, 308 Birchwood Drive, Lebanon. Born May 7, 1916 at Iowa Falls, Iowa the son of I.W. and Mary Marcella Courtney Braga, he was married on March 7, 1953 in Danville, Illinois to Frances Louise Riley, who survives.

Surviving with the wife is the step mother Isabelle Nelson Braga who resides at Iowa Falls, Iowa. Other survivors are: three brothers, Marvin Braga, Marshalltown, Iowa, and Stanley and DeVere Braga both of Iowa Falls, Iowa; and a sister, Mrs. Lyle Patton of Hampton, Iowa.

A member of the First Baptist Church he was active in Sunday School and church work. He formerly belonged to the American Legion and VFW at Lebanon. A graduate of Iowa Falls High School he had served as a pharmacists mate during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was discharged as a Chief Pharmacist Mate. Having lived in Lebanon since 1953, he worked at the Panhandle Eastern for ten years and the past year was employed at the Montgomery Ward Tire Store.

Funeral services will be at 1:30pm. Wednesday in the Lebanon Russell & Hitch Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Ton officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:00 this evening.
