DES MOINES-Thelma Pauline Nicolet, 94, of Des Moines died Monday, July 8, 2002, at Valley View Nursing Home in Des Moines. Services were held Thursday, July 11 at Valley View Care Center with burial at Highland Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.

She was born July 31, 1907, at St. Sebald to Carl and Pauline Fliehler Schuchman. She attended Cedar Falls Teachers College and on March 25, 1934, she married Roy Nicolet of Iowa Falls. They lived in Iowa Falls where their two sons, Charles and Douglas were born. Both sons graduated from Iowa Falls High School.

Thelma is survived by two sons, Charles of Naperville, Ill., and Douglas of Pleasant Hill; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three nephews, Lyle Campbell, James Campbell and John Campbell; and three nieces Jeanne Kastendick, Miriam Renaud and Ruth Brinkmeyer, all from the Iowa Falls area.
