DUMONT-Lucille Miller, 77, of Dumont died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at the Franklin General Nursing Facility in Hampton. Services will be held Thursday, June 27 at 10:30 a.m. at the Dumont Reformed Church with burial in the Dumont Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont from 4-7 p.m. Rev. Robert Scholten will officiate.

Lucille was born July 6, 1924, in Butler County to Hopke and Tillie Hopkes. She attended rural Butler County Schools and on March 25, 1941, she married Kenneth Miller in Dumont. She was a member of the Dumont Reformed Church and taught Sunday school for a number of years, was a member of the guild and sang in the choir.

She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Crawford and husband Virgil of Ackley; four grandchildren, Debra Dralle and husband Troy, Terry Crawford and wife Jamie all of Allison, Tammy Hearn and special friend Dean Pettit of Grundy Center and Timothy Miller of Rowan; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Janice and Lorraine; a sister, Arlean Viet; and a brother, Fred Hopkes.
