Services for Lillian Alice Dahle, 85, Britt, who died Friday, Sept. 5, 1997, were held Monday, Sept, 8, 10:30 a.m., at the Evangelical Free Church in Britt with Rev. William Culbertson officiating.

Music was provided by organist, Mrs. Dwight Anderson who accompanied soloist, Jay Burgardt, and the congregational hymns. Ushers were David Peterson and Connie Burgardt.

Honorary casket bearers were Kevin Dahle, David Dahle, Kim Jennings, Brian Dahle, Angela Dahle, Shawn Dahle, Anthony Dahle and R.A.E. Shipman.

Active bearers were Bill Eckles, Roger Jacobson, Gene Goepel, Gale McNeese, John Hill and Ray Neswold.

Burial was at the Evergreen Cemetery with Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Lillian Alice Dahle, the daughter of Ed Albert and Louisa Johnson Oddson, was born November 20, 1911, in Storden, MN. She attended rural schools in Emmet County. She was baptized and confirmed in Wallingford Lutheran Church in Wallingford.

November 19, 1936, she married Clarence Dahle in Wallingford. The couple moved to Britt in 1936.

Lillian was a member of the Britt Evangelical Free Church and was involved in various church groups and activities. She enjoyed her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, needlework, making dolls, and traveling. She was a 4-H leader for several years.

She is survived by her son, Ron Dahle and his wife, Paulette of Woden; her daughter, Deloris Shipman and her husband, Roland of Belvidere, IL; eight grandchildren, Kevin Dahle and his wife, Beth, Kim Jennings and her husband, Matt, Anthony Dahle and his wife, Colleen, Angela Dahle, David Dahle, Brian Dahle and his wife, Patricia, Shawn Dahle, R.A.E. Shipman; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Courtney Johnson and Sarah Jennings, Brandon Dahle and Matthew Dahle; one sister, Lorraine Smith and her husband, Linus of Jackson, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
