Gloria Eggert, 95, Britt passed away Friday, June 9, 2000 at Westview Care Center in Britt.

Graveside services for Gloria Eggert will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 16. 2000 at Evergreen Cemetery in Britt with Rev. William Breen, Interim Pastor officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Britt. There will be no visitation.

Gloria, the daughter of Walter and Chole Bessie (Lewis) Benson was born January 25, 1905, in Morehouse, MO, and later moved with her family to Cape Girardeau, MO. Gloria then moved to Chicago where she was employed by the Elevated Station for many years. She also was employed for the Singer Sewing Machine Company for many years.

Gloria was united in marriage to Joe Eggert in Chicago, IL in 1957. Joe passed away in 1969, at which time Gloria moved to Missouri. Gloria moved to Britt in 1990, to be near her daughter.

She was a loving mother and friend and shared her life with many.

Gloria is survived by one daughter, Dottie Tegtmeyer and her husband, Louis of Wesley; two grandsons: Rick Tegtmeyer and his wife Barb of Britt and Randy Tegtmeyer and his wife, Natalie, of Blairsburg; four great-grandsons: Shane Tegtmeyer and Bryce Tegtmeyer; three great-granddaughters: Betsey, Melissa and Jenna Tegtmeyer; three great-great-grandchildren; one niece and her family of Cape Girardeau, MO and several nephews.
