Services for Johnnie Tusha, 72, of Garner who died Sunday, July 5, 1987 were held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 7 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan with Rev. Fr. Dale Rausch as celebrant.

Mrs. Roger Kopacek, organist, accompanied the church choir. Ushers were Vincent Nedved and Leonard Rayhons. Mass servers were Jerry Ricke, Terry Ricke and Randy Hadacek.

Casket bearers were Leon Formanek, Ray Formanek, Leon Wellik, Kenneth Paca, Louis Vavrik and John Buzicky.

Graveside military rites at St. John's Catholic Cemetery were conducted by the American Legion Post #315 from Britt. Visitation and rosaries by the parish and Catholic Workman's Lodge were held Monday evening at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Johnnie Paul Tusha, the son of Eman and Barbara (Kodat) Tusha was born May 6, 1915 on the home farm south of Hayfield in Garfield Township. After attending school at Garfield Township #6, he remained home and farmed with his parents. During W.W. II he served his country in the U.S. Army. Johnnie retired from farming in 1969 and in 1970, moved into Garner where he lived with his mother and sister, Magdalene. He was living at the Hancock County Care Facility at Duncan.

He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan and Catholic Workman's Lodge #51. He also belonged to the American Legion Post #315 in Britt.

He is survived by several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eman, December 11, 1969; his mother, Barbara, November 30, 1980 and his sister, Magdalene, April 14, 1982.
