John Kudej Died At Home In Britt After Lingering Illness
Mr. and Mrs. Kudej Retired From Farm West of Duncan in Year 1912Britt - John Kudej, 82, died at his home here early Saturday, following an illness of eight months.
He was born in Bohemia, son of John and Mary Kudej, Jan. 8, 1852. He was married to Mary Kulas at Geneva, Iowa, May 25, 1878. Mr. and Mrs. Kudej retired from their farm west of Duncan in 1912 and moved to Britt, where he lived until the time of his death.
Mr. Kudej is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. John Kudej; his daughters, Mrs. Mamie Jakoubek, Garner; Mrs. Anastacia Urich, Garner; Elizabeth Kopacek, Britt; Mrs. Frank Tlach, Garner, and one son, Arthur, of Klemme and a number of grandchildren.
Mr. Kudej was a member of the St. Patrick church in Britt.
Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock Monday at St. Patrick Catholic church with Father Quirin and Father Kopecky of Duncan in charge and burial was made in the Duncan cemetery.
