Services for Emil C. Ollenburg, 86, of Clear Lake, who died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn., were held 10:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 30 at St. John's Lutheran Church northeast of Garner, with Rev. Reynold B. Petersen as officiant.

Mrs. Roland Boehnke served as organist. Ushers were Warren Thada and Mark Boehnke.

Honorary bearers were Richard Ax, Fred Root, Victor Meyer and Earl Boehnke. Active bearers were grandsons Scott Ollenburg, Reece Ollenburg, Dan Ollenburg, Timothy Wolfram, Rev. Michael Wolfram and Tim Becker.

Burial was in the church cemetery. Visitation was held at Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Emil Carl Ollenburg, the son of Herman and Minnie (Schultz) Ollenburg was born September 5, 1899 on the home farm near Ventura. He was baptized October 1, 1899 and confirmed March 16, 1913 at St. John's Lutheran Church. He attended school at St. John's Lutheran School and at the public schools in Hancock County.

August 31, 1922 he married Olga Boehnke at St. John's Lutheran Church northeast of Garner. They farmed near Ventura on the home place until they retired in 1970 and moved into Clear Lake.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir; was a board member of the Ventura Creamery and a past-president of Hancock County Coop Oil in Garner.

He is survived by his wife, Olga, of Clear Lake; his daughter and son-in-law, Rev. & Mrs. James (Darlene) Wolfram of Mallard; his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Elaine Ollenburg of Ventura; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; two foster great-grandchildren; his brother, Herbert Ollenburg and his wife, Ruth, of Garner and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Arthur Ollenburg and Elmer Ollenburg.
