DROWNED - William Groves, aged fifteen years son of Jackson Groves, of this township, was drowned about two miles below town on Sunday last.

Several boys were in the water bathing at the time when young Groves, who was unable to swim, inadvertently stepped [illegible] deep hole and was at once [illegible words] of assistance. His body was recovered about an hour afterwards.
