BENJAMIN HENDRICKSON

Benjamin Hendrickson was born in Hjelmeland, Norway, April 18, 1850, and died Jan. 31, 1928, at the Story City hospital, aged 77 years, 9 months and 13 days.

He came with his parents to America at the age of 7 years. They settled near Fox River, Ill. On Dec. 13, 1875, he was united in marriage to Annie S. Rasmussen. In 1877 they moved to Iowa where they have since made their home. Five children were born to this union, namely, Clarie Belle, who died at the age of 2 years; Mrs. Carl Thompson, died March 1, 1920; Mary Hendrickson, Mrs. Hattie Johnson and Mrs. Elmer Frette, 13 grandchildren survive. His wife preceded him in death Feb. 11, 1925.

He belonged to the Norwegian Lutheran Church. Funeral was held in Randall on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial was at the Boe cemetery north of town. The pall bearers were as follows: Lars Skeie, Louis Beroen, Lewis Braland, Erick P. Anderson, Osmund Vangness and B. M. Grimsley.
