Verna Ogland Kohl, died on December 16, 2020, at the VanDiest Medical Center, in Webster City, Iowa. Family graveside services will be held in the spring. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Verna was born on January 26, 1922 to Christopher and Faye (Bryan) Ogland at the family home in Kamrar Iowa. She married Kenneth Merle Kohl on February 8, 1946. The couple had three children. She was the quintessential farm wife, who enjoyed caring for her family and husband on the farm. Kenneth died in October of 1990. Verna was a member of the Webster City Church of Christ. In January of 2009, She moved to Windsor Manor.

Verna’s family includes: daughter Candice Kay (Loren) Johnson; daughters-in-law: Debra (Ron) Rinehimer Kohl, and Beth Jacobson Garth; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons: Kenny Kohl, Jr, Lendel Garth and Ronald Kohl; her brothers; and grandson Kenny W. Lee. Memorials may be directed to the family, and mailed to Boman Funeral Home, 601 Ohio Street, Webster City, IA 50595.
