Shirley Knoll, 90, of Webster City died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Southfield Wellness Community. Private family funeral services will be held with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.

Shirley LaVonne Knoll, daughter of James and Stella Boucher, was born March 15, 1930 at the old hospital in Webster City. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1948. Shirley married the love of her life, Sam, on September 3, 1948. She lived her entire life in Webster City except for five years when she lived in Gridley, Illinois. Shirley was employed at Newberrys, Brins Furniture, Hahne Printing, Webster City High School Hot Lunch Program and was owner of Riverside Market.

She had a great love of family and church. Her favorite things to do were reading, ceramics, and she especially enjoyed baking.

She is survived by her children, Suzanne (Sandy) Yoder of Bettendorf, IA, David (Laurena) Knoll of Sacramento, CA, Rick (Margie) Knoll of Jewell, IA; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; her parents; siblings, Virginia, Bernice, Robert, Betty, Ruth, Margaret, Merna, Marion and Jim.

She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Memorials may be left to the family’s discretion.
