Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, December 9, 2020

LaVonne Story, 97, of Webster City formerly of Woolstock went to her heavenly home, Monday, December 7, 2020 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Graceland Cemetery, with Pastor Gina Sterk, officiating. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.

LaVonne Lydia Hilpipre, daughter of Charles and Jessie Rapp Hilpipre, was born March 17, 1923 on the family farm near Blairsburg. She attended school in the Blairsburg community. On March 10, 1943, LaVonne was united in marriage to Norval Noel Story in Williams. The couple farmed between Woolstock and Clarion.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Fisher of Des Moines, Carole (Ivan) Pigsley of Webster City; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Mari) Hilpipre of Plainsfield, WI; sister, Mary Lou (Vern) Deiderich of Osage and many extended family members.

LaVonne is preceded in death by her husband, Norval on November 30, 2018; her parents; son-in-law, Marty Fisher; siblings, Alvin Hilpipre, Wayne Hilpipre, Howard Hilpipre, Virgil Hilpipre, Vera Olson, Letty Reisetter, Mildred King, Charles Hilpipre Jr. and Bernard Hilpipre.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the OTO Club.
