Helen, 76, passed away March 7, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center. A memorial service will be at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, March 17, at Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University Blvd, Clive.

Helen Marie Harris, daughter of Harold and Myrtle (Moore) Middleton, was born September 19, 1935 in Guthrie Center. Helen retired after being the Secretary to the President of DMACC. She enjoyed puzzles, especially crossword puzzles. Helen also liked to sew, and had recently become very interested in cooking.

Helen is survived by her husband, John; her son, Dave (Kitty) Minor; stepson, Michael (Gina) Harris; her two sisters, Neva (Donald) Mleynek and Roberta (Vernon) Smith; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and a brother.
