Imogene Eddy Perry, 88, daughter of George and Eva (Wells) Rose, was born Feb. 4, 1923. in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at the Guthrie County Hospital, Guthrie Center.
Imogene graduated from Guthrie Center High School in 1941. Imogene was a long time Guthrie Center resident. She held various different jobs, such as cleaning homes, working at a Knoxville drug store, and was a waitress.
She was a member of the Eagles Club, where she held office, the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, and was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She also enjoyed playing the card game, Pitch, crafts, and was an awesome cook. She was known for her potato salad and noodles.
She is survived by her daughters, Julie (Jerry) Irving of Pleasantville, Linda (Elgene) Frank of Dallas Center, and Nancy (Robert) Lebischak of Guthrie Center; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Brother, Harold (JoAnn) Rose and sister, Maxine (Bill) Freeman both of Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband Robert Dygert, second husband Harold “Ted” Eddy, third husband Ray Perry, and a brother, Jennings Rose.
A service was held on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011 at Twigg Funeral Home in Guthrie Center.
Graveside services were Saturday, Oct. 22, at Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville.
