The funeral of Mrs. B. B. Hiatt of Stuart was held Wednesday, her death occurring Tuesday, as a result of cancer of the face. The Hiatts were original settlers in this vicinity, breaking the land now occupied by Chas. Maulsby. Rev. Hiatt as a Friends minister, had a large acquaintance in this vicinity. Rev. Jasper Hadley presided at the funeral services, and Rev. and Mrs. Brown of Earlham assisted in the music.
