Thursday, August 17, 2006Beulah M. Tallman, 86, was born September 30, 1919 in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at The New Homestead in Guthrie Center.
On May 6, 1939 Beulah was united in marriage to Leonard Tallman in the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa. They farmed in Guthrie County until 1983, when they moved into Guthrie Center. In 1961, she became the owner of Beulah Ò's Dress Shop. She later change the name to Red Door Fashion's and operated it for 25 years.
She is survived by her daughter; Rebecca (James) Carico of Guthrie Center, Son: Richard Tallman of San Francisco, CA, grandchildren; Sheree (Paul) Buttler, Tulsa, OK, Sarah (George) Young of Panora, Lindsay Tallman and Blake Tallman both of San Francisco, four great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws; Betta Cox of Panora and Helen Gail (Wayne) Betts of Weslaco, Texas.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, at the First United Methodist Church, Guthrie Center with Rev. Lilian Gallo-Seagren, officiating. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and Rebekah services will be held 7 p.m. Friday at Beidelman-Twigg Funeral Home, Guthrie Center. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Guthrie Center.
Memorials may be left to the Carollin Bell Fund at First United Methodist Church.
