Services held Friday for Mrs. Henry KIMM: born 16 May 1872-Chicago, Cook Co. IL Died-23 Nov 1937 Adair, Guthrie Co. IA . Mrs. Henry Kimm, 65, long time resident of southwest Guthrie Co. passed away early Tuesday morning, Nov 23, at the family home northwest of Adair. Her death was unexpected, as she had been in her usual health the day before. Matilda Wilhelmina Marten, a daughter of Gottlieb and Dorothea Marten, was born May 16, 1872, in Chicago, Il. In 1884, she and her parents moved to a farm northwest of Adair, and she had resided in southwest Bear Grove Twsp until her death. On Oct 3, 1893, she was united in holy wedlock with Henry W. Kimm. Eight children were born to this union. The husband and seven children are left to mourn her loss. The children are Silas E. Kimm of Adair, Clarence A. Kimm of Adair, and his twin sister, Mrs Elmer Marean of Guthrie Center, William H. Kimm of Cincinnati, IA, Mrs Kenneth Marean and Mrs Howard Marean of Adair and Mrs Roy Ruth of Guthrie Center. Lawrence Kimm died in infancy in 1916. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Charles Ruch of Adair, and three brothers, Henry Marten of Guthrie Center, Gus Marean of Missouri Valley, IA. and Louis Reinke of Witten, SD. Funeral services were at 1:30 PM Friday at St. John's Lutheran church.
