THOMPSON - SMITH

Miss LaVonne Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson of Colo, Ia., and Guy Smith, a former Bayard boy, were united in marriage in Zearing, Iowa, July 2nd. Mrs. Smith is not known to Bayard people but Mr. Smith is the son of Mrs. Wm. Schwartz and grew to manhood in Bayard. He graduated from the Bayard high school with the class of '22 and from the Capitol City Commercial College in Des Moines. Mr. Smith owns a meat market and grocery business in Colo. At present they are on a honeymoon trip in Colorado.

The News and the many Bayard friends of the groom unite in wishing for them happiness and prosperity.
