Irene M. Mohr, daughter of Elmer Beber and Kathryn Sullivan Beber, was born June 15, 1915 at Omaha, Nebraska, and died April 30, 2011 at Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jefferson, Iowa, at the age of 95 years, 10 months and 15 days.

Irene attended school in Omaha, Nebraska. On October 17, 1933, she was united in marriage with Albert Case. To this union, five children were born: Patricia, Stella, Jim, Charles and Donald.

In 1960, Irene moved to Iowa. She worked several jobs in Iowa, including working for AMF in Jefferson for ten years.

She loved cooking, fishing and sewing. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Guild. She greatly enjoyed attending church.

On June 30, 1964, Irene was united in marriage to Arnold Mohr. The couple made their home in Breda.

Irene was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert and Arnold; her sons: Donald and Charles; daughter Stella K. Ludwig in 2003; her daughter-in-law Pat Case; her sister Annetta Gillott and her brother Harold Beber.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia A. Monagin of Jefferson and her son Jim Case and his wife Sandy of Jefferson; ten grandchildren: Mike Monagin of Jefferson, Carol Monagin Rustan of Altoona, Charles D. Ludwig of Nevada, Shawn Ludwig of Nevada, Cindy Demeres and her husband Larry of Carroll, Terry Starrett and her husband John of Altoona, Beverly Morgan and her friend Dan Wolterman of Jefferson, John Case of Paton, Jimmy Case of Paton and Randy Frantz and his wife Melanie of Grand Junction; 23 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; her brother Elmer Beber of Omaha, Nebraska; her special friend Harold "Hawkeye" Elliott of Jefferson, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register, 03 May 2011.
