Imogene, Iowa, September 22nd - A wanderer came into our midst this morning from across the branch who presented a pitiful site indeed. He was an old man ragged, dirty and thinly clad. His steps were unsteady and faltering, occasionally falling to the ground. He made his way to the front of Printy's store and clung to the railing motionless for a short time as if completely exhausted. In his insane talk he said he had walked fifty miles and that he had a daughter living in town whom he was looking for. The name he gave was not familiar to anyone. Mr. Printy took the old man into the store and cared for him.

It was discovered that his name was Herman Drone, that he lived with J. W. Lewis, four miles north, that he was an epileptic and had wandered from home the evening before. Mr. lewis was sent for to come and take the wanderer home. The old man is sixty-five years old, he was a soldier in the Civil War and at the present time draws a pension.
