Olson Rites on Friday

Final rites for LeRoy Olson, 66, of rural Wallingford, who died yesterday [March 15 1966] at 12:15 a.m. at his home are to be Friday. His death was attributed to a heart ailment.

A family service will be at 1:25 p.m. followed by a 2 p.m. service at Wallingford Lutheran Church. Rev. Robert Glazer and Rev. Benjamin Colvet will officiate. Burial will be in High Lake Cemetery.

Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home until noon Friday when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state.

Pallbearers will be Lloyd Skattebo, Arnold Anderson, Chester Paulson, Byrl Felkey, August Andresen and Carol Hoganson.

LeRoy Chester Olson was born July 27, 1899 in Emmet County and attended Emmet County schools. He graduated from Jewell High School.

He was married Sept. 6, 1927 to Selma Johnson of Wallingford and after their marriage he and his wife farmed near Dolliver. They lived there two years and then moved to the Wallingford area where they have lived since.

He was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church.

Mr. Olson is survived by his wife and one sister, Mrs. Hazel Henderson of St. Paul, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
