OLE HANSON ANSWERS FINAL SUMMONS.

CAME TO THE COUNTY IN 1865

Ole Hanson, a respected citizen of Jack Creek township where he had lived for the past forty-two years and the father of supervisor E. J. Hanson, died last Tuesday [6 March 1907] in his 73rd year.

Mr. Hanson was born in Norway July 18, 1834, and came to America in 1859, settling in Greene county, Wisconsin. In 1863 he was married to Miss Nekkolina Erickson and two years later the couple moved to Jack Creek township in this county where they have since resided. They were among the very first settlers in that part of Emmet county.

He is survived by his wife and seven children. The children are Mrs. Mary Jensen, who resides in California; Mrs. A. O. Bergeson of Stettler, Alberta, Canada; Mrs. L. B. Rokne of High Lake township; Enoch H., Lemuel, Amos and John Hanson of Jack Creek township, all of the sons except Lemuel residing in the parental home. Mrs. Geo. B. Anderson, who died in this city in November, was a daughter of the decedent.

The funeral services were held at home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Gjevre of Graettinger. The remains were interred in the High Lake cemetery.

Mr. Hanson was a man of many noble qualities and will be well remembered in the community in which he was so long a resident. He and his excellent wife have reared a fine family of children and will leave them as a priceless heritage, a good name.
