Samuel Lee Woolery, son of Randy and Cheri (Dammann) Woolery, was born on May 5, 1995 in Omaha, Nebraska. He passed away on April 8, 2021 at Avera McKennan Hospital at the age of 25.

Sam received his education and graduated from Spencer High School in 2013. While in high school he enjoyed being on the swim team. He then attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg, where he met Sierra, the love of his life.

He was united in marriage to Sierra Stille on August 15, 2020 at Fort Defiance State Park. Sam was employed with Polaris Industries building motorcycles. He also worked part time at the Fareway meat department counter.

Sam loved spending time with family and friends. He always made people smile. He enjoyed Xbox, playing the drums for Sheltered Reality, attending Skillet concerts, Iowa Hawkeyes, Minnesota Vikings and his dogs, Kinnick and Bella.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer and Grandview Baptist Church in Estherville.

Left to cherish Sam’s memory are his wife, Sierra; mother, Cheri Woolery (Randy Wise); siblings, Nathan (Megan) Woolery; Emma (Colby) Nelson; Alex Woolery; niece, Layla Nelson; grandma, Nita Dammann; mother and father-in-law, Jodi and Jason Stille; sister-in-law, Jordan Stille (Isaiah Macias), grandparents-in-law, Marcia and Clint Howard, and grandma-in-law Becky Stille.

He has been preceded in death by his father, Randy Woolery; grandparents, Merle Dammann; Jean and Norm Halverson and Charlotte and Earl Woolery.

A funeral service was held Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville, Iowa with interment at East Side Memorial Cemetery, Estherville, Iowa.
