Ronald Gary Wilhelms, son of Roy and Marie (Haberman) Wilhelms, was born on August 8, 1951 in Estherville, Iowa. He passed away at his home in Primghar, Iowa on April 6, 2021 at the age of 69 years.

Ron attended Estherville High School. He worked for various companies throughout his life including Wadco, Spencer Pack and McQuay’s.

He loved fishing, hunting, and trapping. He had a “green thumb” and loved working in his garden and growing indoor plants. He also loved to talk about his fishing trip to Alaska. Many of his friends remember him as a great storyteller.

Ron is survived by his son Rick, daughter-in-law, Kim, and granddaughter Tala of Estherville; his sister, Pat Wilhelms Zbichorski of Fort Worth, Texas; his niece LeeAnn Zbichorski and her husband Tommy Bean of Trophy Club, Texas.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Roy Wilhelms and his mother, Marie (Haberman) Wilhelms, his cousin Steve Reighard; his brother-in-law, Daniel Zbichorski and grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Graveside services were held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at East Side Memorial Cemetery in Estherville.
