Charles [K.] Strom, 73, Passed Away Last Sunday
Had Been Ill For Three Weeks

Charles Strom, 73, farmer-partner with Ed Riggs in the Wallingford-Graettinger neighborhood, died of cerebral hemorrhage, 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Holy Family hospital. He had been ill about three weeks.

He was born in Marshall county and received his schooling there, later marrying Carrie Johnson, daughter or Ole Johnson. The couple farmed for several years in Marshall county, moving later to an acreage near Estherville, and for the past five or six years have been farming south of Wallingford in partnership with Riggs.

Mr. Strom was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran church.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Clifford, of Woodward; a daughter, Mrs. Cora Sevinski [Sabinske] of West Bend, Ind.; two brothers in Minnesota, and a sister in Ohio.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wallingford Lutheran church with the Rev. C.B. Gunderson officiating. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, January 12, 1950)
