Mrs. Stallmach [Stellmach] dies of injuries; rites Tuesday
Mrs. Mike J. Stellmach, 63, of Milford, died at 6:20 a.m. Sunday [September 12, 1971] at Holy Family Hospital of injuries suffered Thursday in a two-car collision just west of Estherville.

Mrs. Stellmach was a passenger in a car driven by her husband, Mike Stellmach, 67, a Milford farmer, when it collided with one driven by Rev. Frederick C. Borger, 24, of Estherville.

Stellmach, who suffered internal injuries, is listed as improving at Holy Family Hospital and the Rev. Mr. Borger was to be dismissed today.

Services for Mrs. Stellmach will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Reese-Henry Funeral Chapel, Estherville, with burial at High Lake Cemetery.

Mrs. Stellmach was born Jan. 10, 1908, at Grafton, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Beesaw. She received her education at Osgood, Iowa.

She was married to Michael J. Stellmach Oct. 15, 1927, at Emmetsburg.

The Stellmachs farmed near Terril from 1941 to 1955 when they moved to Milford.

She was a member of the United Methodist church of Osgood.

Survivors are her husband; four sons, Bernard of Milford, Vincent of Sioux Falls, James of Omaha and Gary of LeMars; two daughters, Mrs. Chester (Thelma) Lich of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Mrs. Jerry (Gloria) Becker, Sutherland; 11 grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a brother, Clifford Beesaw of Ogylve, Minn.; and two sisters, Mrs. Leslie Spencer, Carthage, Mo., and Mrs. Victor Luehring, Terril.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant daughters, one brother and one sister.

The Rev. Robert Ruleman will officiate at the funeral. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville until time of services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 13, 1971)
