Died
At the home of her mother in Jack creek township, Monday morning Oct. 7th, 1901. Annie Liljenberg, aged 22 years, 11 months and 2 days of consumption after an extended illness of a year and half. The deceased has been in poor health for some time and in company with her mother [Josephine A. Oversten Liljenberg] came to this part of the state from LaGrange, Cook county, Ill. about a year ago with the hope that it would improve her health, but without receiving any benefit. She has been an earnest Christian since early childhood and an earnest worker in Sunday school work. She leaves a mother, four sisters and one brother to mourn her loss. Two sisters and a brother living in Pennsylvania, two sisters, Mrs. Ed Valdiek, Miss Mary Liljenberg and her mother live in Jack Creek township.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ostrom, of La Grange, Ill., assisted by Rev. G.B. Malone of Graettinger, at the late home yesterday, and the interment took place in the High Lake cemetery.

The bereaved have a large circle of friends who extend to them their heartfelt sympathy in this their loss. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, October 17, 1901)
