Estherville – Services for Edgar Clifton Iverson, 74, Estherville, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, south of Gruver, with Pastor Michael Bennett officiating. Burial will be in High Lake Cemetery, Wallingford. He died Saturday, Oct. 26, 1985 at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville.

He was born Dec. 11, 1910 in Emmet County to Edward and Cecilia (Larson) Iverson, and attended Emmet County schools and Waldorf College in Forest city. On March 6, 1938 he was united in marriage with Ann Olson in Graettinger. He lived his entire life in Emmet County where he farmed near Wallingford until his retirement. The couple then moved into Wallingford where they made their home for seven years until moving to Estherville two years ago. He was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Estherville Mens Chorus, gave 20 years of service to Emmet County 4H, managed the 4H fair food stand for 17 years, and managed the Ingham Lake Bible Camp for seven years.

Survivors include his wife, Ann, Estherville; three sons, Ron, Flagstaff, Ariz., Clair and Lynn, both of Estherville; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, on son, Don, and a sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 28, 1985)
