Mrs. S. Hanson
Mrs. S. Hanson [Helen Olson] died at her Jack Creek home Friday [April 21, 1911]. The funeral service was held from the home Monday, and burial made in High Lake cemetery.

Mrs. Hanson was born in Norway March 24, 1847 [per gravestone 1949]. When six years of age her parents moved to America. On October 4, 1865 she was united in marriage to Mr. Hanson. Twelve children were born to this union of which the following are still living: O.S., Annie, Erick, Alfred, Theodore, Emma, Henry and Nettie. The family moved to Palo Alto county, near Graettinger, in 1866. The moved to Jack Creek township in this county in 1883. Mr. Hanson died in 1893. Mrs. Hanson was a fine lady. She had hosts of friends who hasten to extend sympathy to those left to mourn. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, April 26, 1911)
