Estherville – Funeral services for Mae. E. Guge, 92, of Estherville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 15 at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel, Estherville, with the Rev. [unreadable] Interment will be at High Lake Cemetery, Wallingford. She died on January 9 at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

Mae Ethel Taylor was born July 7, 1904 in [ ], daughter of A.D. and [ ] Taylor. She received her education in the Mandon, N.D. schools. She was united in marriage to John Guge on July 30, 1938 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. After their marriage, the couple lived the rest of their lives in Estherville. Mr. Guge died on April 9, 1983. She has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Care Center Since Jan. of 1991. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville.

She is survived by one step son-in-law, Lloyd Guge of Estherville; one step daughter-in-law, Eleanor Ping of Crosby, Texas; two step granddaughters; three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 13, 1997)
