Grodland Dies at 79 in Minnesota
Milford O. [Oli] Grodland, 79, former auctioneer in the High Lake area for many years, died Thursday [June 3, 1965] forenoon at the Douglas County Hospital at Alexandria, Minn. Mr. Grodland would have been 80 years old on June 26, 1965. [dob June 26, 1885]

Mr. Grodland’s body is to be brought to the Fuhrman Funeral Home in Graettinger tomorrow after services are held at Alexandria. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. tomorrow. Services are to be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Fuhrman Funeral Home chapel in Graettinger, Rev. John Kilmer officiating. Burial will be in the High Lake Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Merle Grodland of Chicago, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Woodrow (Verna) Wilson and Mrs. Bud (Arlene) Hamilton, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; also a brother, Walter Grodland of Fontana, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. A.R. Espeset of Estherville and Mrs. L.M. Larsen of Spencer. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 4, 1965)
