Dies On Christmas at Farm Home

Mrs. Kearney (Florence) Paulson, 45, died at 9 p.m. Christmas Day at the Paulson farm home south of Gruver. She had been in failing health for the last year and a half.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday for the family and at 2 p.m. for the public at Immanuel Lutheran Church, south of Gruver with the Rev. Benjamin Coltvet officiating.

Mrs. Paulson was born July 4, 1918 in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Engholm. She received her education in the Ringsted schools and was wed to Kearney Paulson, Feb. 22, 1939.

She moved to Emmet County as a child with her parents and had lived here ever since. Following her marriage, she and her husband farmed south of Gruver. Mrs. Paulson was a longtime member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors are her husband, two sons, Eugene, who is in the army and stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash., and Gary, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Helmers of Albert Lea, Minn., and Mrs. Marvin (Clara) Corderman of Armstrong, two brothers, Wilbert Engholm of Bancroft and Erwin Engholm of Hawthorne, Calif., and her mother, Mrs. Arthur Engholm of Ringsted.

She was preceded in death by her father and one sister.

Burial will be in High Lake Cemetery. Friends may call at the Reese Funeral Home from noon Friday until 11 a.m. on Saturday when the casket will be taken to lie in state at church until time of services.
