Clarence was born January 25, 1931, in Dyersville, Iowa, son of Ben "J.C." and Anna M. (Erdmann) Weber. He received his education in a one-room country school in rural Placid. On August 18, 1965, he was united in marriage to Alice Fortmann at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Placid area until their retirement in 2013, at which time they moved to Dyersville, Iowa.

Clarence was an inspiration to everyone he met by spreading his love, kindness and helping hands. He was a hardworking man, spending most of his life farming on the home place in Placid. He took pride in his Allis Chalmers tractors and used his sharp mind to invent things like his mailbox and coon trap. During his conversations, he was sure to tell you a joke and raise his eyebrows to make you smile. Even through his long battle with COPD, he kept smiling and telling jokes. During his free time, he loved drawing horses and fishing for bass, carp and catfish. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed by all.

He was a member of St. John's Parish in Placid, he helped to rebuild the church after it burned down in 1959.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Weber, of Dyersville, IA; two children, Lois Thurston (fiancé Gary Higgins), of Peosta, IA, and Sharon (Joe) Gaul, of Dyersville, IA; six grandchildren, Blake, Sierra, and Shyla Thurston, Tirzah, Quinton and Vanessa Gaul; two brothers, Raymond Weber, of Bernard, IA, and Emil (Darlene) Weber, of Epworth, IA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Weber, of Dyersville, IA, Norma Weber, of Bernard, IA; Jerome Trenkamp, Marsha Weigel, both of Dyersville, IA, Dorothy Bittner, of Guttenberg, IA, Mary Ann Oberfoell, of Monticello, IA, Ralph Fortmann and Ronnie (Phyllis) Fortmann, both of Dyersville, IA.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Weber in infancy; his siblings, Helen (Albert) Gansemer, Elmer Weber and Leo Weber; sisters-in-law, Doris Weber and Bernice Trenkamp; and brothers-in-law, LaVern Fortmann, John Bittner and Louie Oberfoell.
